Yup it works fine. Open a paypal account then add the 3v voucher under credit cards (as visa) you can verify your account with it too :)

Anyone know if you can actually purchase an item online for €350.00 with a €350.00 3V voucher. Let me explain, the 3V voucher limit is €350 and I believe when you use a credit card online a dummy transaction for a cent or something is first used to check out the credit card. So if the item you want to buy is €350 exactly and your 3V voucher is exactly €350 could the cent transaction cause a problem as you may be left with €349.99 on your voucher. I'm not exactly sure how this works so if anyone knows the in's and out's of this I would appericate some advice.

    here is a new one
if i have the v card worth 200 and my item costs 150 is that the amount they take or do you have to have the exact amount in the card already

they take what the item cost plus if theres any other charges , so say its 150 all together then you would be left with 50 to spend how you please

do you mean the authorization fee? That usually gets refunded within a week to 10 days

i had a 3v card at one stage buying stuff from ebay and let me say there crap

first you can only spend what is on the voucher ie if you have €200 and want to buy something for €180 the remaining 20 can not be spent unless you buy a new voucher and transfare the remaining ballance which costs you 2.50

second if you are using paypal everytime you get a new voucher you get a new visa numb and cvv code there for paypal think you are upto no good with all the diff card numbers and will end up putting a restriction on your acc

third with all the different card numbers you have to verify them everytime you use them on paypal and its a pain in the arse

in sayin all that i have got a new payzone money card and it is brilliant you have a mastercard and a loading card (2 seperate cards) you can use the master anywhere and take your money you haven spend out at any atm or spend it in a shop and your loading card has only one card number and cvv number so your not having to change them all the time on paypal so basicaly use what ya have on your 3v card and bin it go to you local payzone shop and buy one for 6 or 7 quid and register it

The costs are higher per transaction, compared to 3v, worth highlighting..

click on charges on the following link

    https://www.3v.ie/help.html

    now compare to payzone

    http://www.payzonemoney.com/ie/costs.asp

maybe a couple cent more but for the hassle of having to change card numbers, verifing, then having the remainder of the ballance transfared for 2.50 and one other thing if you have a voucher with 2.49 on it you might aswell say goodbye to it cause it all adds up i no so at least i no now when i top up my payzone card that last ballance is going onto my new ballance free of charge

You can spend the €20, or whatever amount might be left, but you have to spend it on something that costs no more than the amount you have left.
second if you are using paypal everytime you get a new voucher you get a new visa numb and cvv code there for paypal think you are upto no good with all the diff card numbers and will end up putting a restriction on your acc

They will lift the restriction when you tell them it's a pre-paid card.
third with all the different card numbers you have to verify them everytime you use them on paypal and its a pain in the arse

True, but that's how both parties have decided to implement their security.

yes you can spend the €20 but if you are buying something that is costing €17 you will end up with €3 left on the card it costs €2.50 for the transfare so in fairness you will be getting 50cents

yes they will lift the restriction after a load of emails i no it has happined to me

it is a prepaid card if there is no money on it you cant use it so load it as you need to and why couldn they do like payzone have 1 card for use on atms shops and others and 1 card for loading money on to it and just 1 card and cvv number

everyone has a different opinion i have used both cards and do a lot of internet shopping and always use paypal and i find the payzone card works better for me cause i can load €500 unlike 3v others might prefare 3v but from my personal expirence i wouldn use it again

Just something to be aware of. I had 240 euro that I redeemed to my bank account last Wednesday. By today (wednesday), the funds were still not in my bank account. When I rang 3V customer service, the guy told me that they only do all their bank transfers on a Monday, and from there it will take 8 days!! Which meant that because of the bank holiday weekend, my 8 days started from Tuesday (yesterday) and I wont see my funds until next Wednesday, a full 2 weeks since I redeemed them to my account! Wouldnt mind if it ws 20 euro or something, but its 240 I could really do with after the long weekend! Thanks for a lousy service 3V, I'll think twice about using your 'service' again.. Be warned!
