    Hi,

Looking to book some flights into Europe this summer. In the booking process on their site, they want €15 for each bag I check in...don't you get a checked in bag to travel for free in the fare anymore?
    It's a while since I went Aer Lingus.

You pay for checked in luggage. Generally cabin baggage is free once you keep within restrictions.

Thanks, is this a new thing?

It's not a massively new thing. AL trying to compete with Ryanair. It's been around a while now but I guess in terms of AL's history it's reasonably new.

They are only free to the US, all other Aer Lingus flights it's €15 per bag, has been like that for a couple of years.

    Thanks for all the replies.
