Kerosene Leak

Today I noticed a dark patch on the outside wall near the oil boiler, on closer inspection there was a leak in the line from the tank to the boiler which i have since fixed. Where the kerosene has leaked up the wall i can smell kerosene in the house and a book sitting in that corner stinks of kerosene.

2 question really: does this pose any serious health risks (its in the bedroom) and how can i get rid of the smell? Will it dissipate eventually now the leak is fixed.

    Thanks,

    X.
