was having sex last night with the gf and the condom broke

it was a durex performa condom

anyway, the top of it split (tit) came off at some stage and i only realised this after ejaculation and withdrawal
i had to get the broken off part of it out of the gf afterwards using my finger (not the sexiest thing for her)
    is this usual for condoms?

she is on the pill, though i'm still worried about it.

Well, I'm no expert, being 15 and a frigid and all, bt she should probably use a pregnancy test in a week or two. Don't fret either. You should be grand if she's on the pill. :) good luck!

If she's been taking the pill fastidiously at the same time every day, then don't worry it'll be fine, many couples don't even use condoms if there is hormonal contraception.

However if she's been sick of late (diarrhea or vomiting), on antibiotics or forgot to take the pill one day then perhaps a visit to the family planning clinic asap to get the morning after pill might be in order.

    Hi OP,

It is not usual for condoms to break. It does happen but not regularly. It could happen to one couple once, twice, three times and not happen ever for another. It's just something that happens.

As for worrying about pregnancy, if she's on the pill she should be fine. If she starts to show symptoms of pregnancy, then she should take a test and visit her GP.

You should be grand. Its unfortunate that it broke but as said above it can happen sometimes.

My OH is on the pill and I still use condoms too. Hedging our bets and all that. If she takes the pill properly then you should be fine. I wouldn't stress to much but if you can't help but worry then get her to take a pregnancy test in due course to ease your mind

don't worry at all, having pill is more or less forget about it territory. Condoms break and usually due to friction/dryness etc.
I used to be so worried like that before, think with age the stress levels decrease and enjoyment increases immensely.............
