    looking for an upper reciever to replace the M16vn i own would prefer one with a removable carry handle or a ris rail

    make jg but from what i can find most m4/m16 recievers should fit it
    i reckon its abs plastic

    That's a two piece hop mech, so you'll need a JG or TM body for it. Not quite sure what other brands use the two piece. If you go for a different brand body, you'll need to change the hop too.

    so due to the price of a complete receiver i think i will just buy a new M16

    I work on these silly toys a lot :P
    You can get a full metal reciever for about €60 or so from ehobby or rsov.
