    3.2 Investigation of self‑employment applications:

Applicants for STEA must have their self-employment project approved before taking up self-employment. In Partnership areas this will be done by the local Partnership Company. In non-Partnership areas this will be done by a local Facilitator of this Department.

I understand that there is an investigation done into your self-employment idea....does anyone know where the "Partnership" areas are?

Also...I have dowloaded and printed off the application....I also have a 25 page dossier on my idea, with an introduction, facts, figures, references, quotes etc.

Will I be having an interview? I hope so...because I have far more to say than the application form lets me.

    Thanks and cheers.;)

    Also.....
    3.3 Claims

Following approval of the project, claims and payments are dealt with in the Department's local Social Welfare Offices.
Initial Applications should be submitted 14 days before the self-employment is due to commence and late claims will not normally be accepted/allowed. Lack of knowledge of the existence of the scheme is not, in itself, a sufficient reason to accept a late claim.

I dont know how to interpret this.

I wasn't going to start my self-employment until I was guaranteed I would get onto the scheme, as I will be relying on the scheme to finance me for the first few purchases of raw materials.

My credit rating is not good enough to get out a loan.

    Thanks again.
