Beautiful, haven't been there this year but did ya hear about my eagle with an 8 iron on one of the early par 4's?!! lol

Facilities are excellent, service was high. Thought the fairways were forgiving for someone like me (cutter with occasional slice!) , greens are big and 4 puttable, trust me i know, ie first green is a biggie (hence the 6 i carded!)

Could play real long if they wanted, no shortage of land out there.

Bit of a trek for me in Lucan but I almost joined it.

played it last year, very hard fro 16+ handicap, you have to play the baall high into the greens, but worth the trip

Thread revival but had to get on here and praise the place. What a course ! Loved every minute of it - great design, REAL bunkers, huge greens, massive length. Clubhouse to die for - OK you need a degree to work the 2sq ft of showerheads afterwards but once you're in there it's tempting to stay there for half an hour ;)

Staff obviously have the 'friendly' motto beaten into them at all levels - when I was driving in a guy driving a fairway mower gave me a huge salute ;-)

To sum it up, if you haven't managed to play there yet get on it - you won't be disappointed.

Did you play it today? It's in great nick, greens a little bit slower than normal but wasn't a bad thing with some of the pins!

Fully agree - for me it's up there with Druids Glen in terms of enjoyment, although I did get it on a benign day. I'd say it would be a monster off the blacks.

Oh - now that I remember. This would be mighty craic I'd say. Crazy crazy long !!!

Played it on Friday in similar conditions. Yes the greens were not as fast as others I have played, but that didn't detract from the experience for me.
