I looking for an independent as opposed to the main dealer .

Would any mechanic be able to do a service are do ye reckon I'd be better off going to a Landrover specialist:confused:

    Thanks

I'd say the specialist. They are not necessarily more expensive than the local garage, but they will have the specialist knowledge and equipment.

That said, for the routine service they are very much more costly.

Unless there's some routine work needed on the 4WD drive train I reckon you'd be safe enough with any idy. There isn't much different to any normal car to be honest so why pay the difference if you don't need to?

Here's the number of an ex landrover mechanic who is now gone out on his own. Couldn't recommend him enough. He did all the work on my mothers Freelander and now services all our cars. He is in rathcormac. His name is John. Number: (086) 163 4602

Freelanders are as basic as they come, no specialist knowalage or tools required.
