Has anyone had experience of getting a damaged 08 vehicle and transferring all of it into a pre 1980 chassis for road tax, VRT and NCT. I have the range rover in mind.

From what i've seen it looks like it's just a matter of swooping over a chassis plate and a couple of rivets.......... that's couldn't be possible could it?;)

To be legal its the chassis that has to be changed, not just a change of plate.

A current model Range Rover or a P38 cannot be fitted to a Classic Chassis, so stop dreaming.

Arent the current Range Rovers and Discos a Monocoque chassis ??

Swapping over the VIN plates is called ringing and is very much illegal.
