Seeing as April 24th is the actual date of the 1916 Rising; I have not seen a thread opened in relation to the call for a General Election as outlined by Cathal Furey

    http://cathal.posterous.com/

Now is the time to organise ourselves as a united force to protest against the current government, who's leader is unelected, and demand an general election which is our democratic right.

The people of Ireland did not elect a government in 2007 that would stand by the financial rape of its people for the betterment of a few, but this has proven to be the case. The perpertrators of this vile crime are still allowed the freedom to roam but their victins cannot due to negative equity and increased interest rates.

The current government sees the taxpayer as the suckle pig to ensure that its main contrbutors are not affected by market forces in which the select Irish "Businessmen" and bond holders gambled.

Now is the time for a change in government; the only way is by protesting on April 24th per the links.

The Public Sector as well as the Private Sector have been shafted by this government for the betterment and protection of a few.

THIS IS OUR TIME! BE INVOLVED

We also need a new political party - all those politicians are corrupt right down to the local Councillors -the you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours brigade. A new government wont change much, they are all the same.

    The Zero Tolerance Party :D
    The (ZTP) manifesto would include:
Asset seizing and public floggings of those who have cheated us. Maybe the odd Banishment. :D
