Where do the 'good girls' hide?

I originally posted this thread in the Dublin forums, but I was told I might have better luck here.

Maybe the women here can give me a proper perspective.

    Here's the scenario:

I'm from the US, visiting Dublin in a few weeks. I'm 30 and past the heavy partying phase. I'm looking for advice as to pubs/clubs/bars to go to, where I might meet people (AKA women) around my age to help pass a Saturday night.

I'm looking for the girls that are level headed, interesting to talk to and fun. Its hard to describe, I guess.

Not interested in drunken party chicks, or meat markets, if that helps.

    Any suggestions?

Where do all the local girls hide?

No, Galway is a good spot too, but there's more of them in Munster.

If by good girls, you mean down-to-earth, low-maintenance kinda heads: try relaxed pubs like Thomas Read's, The Stag's Head, Hogans, The Globe, The Long Haul, Anseo (south of the river), Sin É, The Flowing Tide (north of the river). These are places where there isn't much of a dress code and people tend to just gather to chat and have a laugh, no politics.

Yeah definitly Hogans or The Globe, really relaxed and the bar staff are really sound in either of them. Great music in both places too.

there was a massive game of hide n seek here in ireland a few years ago, eventually all the baddie girls got fed up hiding and came out to play with the lads, leaving all the good girls to stay and hide.
word on the street is they have been in hiding since.
    tragic times.

I guess if I'm going to Ireland, I'd rather talk to a local girl rather than one from the US. I mean, where's the fun in that?

Not a ladies lounge thread. Please read the charter folks. And FearDark, maybe try ease up tarring all Irish women with that brush of yours.
