    If I understand what you're trying to do here correctly, what I do is just get a small square of white muslin, put the spices inside and just tie it up with a bit of string. You can buy muslin by the metre in any material shop quite cheaply and just cut to size. Kitchen shops also sell it in smaller quantities but will charge an arm and a leg for it.
