    You bought it from them?
If they can't fix it perhaps ask for a refund?

There might have been a miscommunication there - a garage wouldn't have the access or obligation to change your insurance over to a replacement car.

Edit - I have updated the thread title; please use factual, not emotive language.

will ask for refund but can't understand how they could let me purchase a car without having checked everything first. I spent a lot of time looking for the model and I don't think it's good customer service not to at least return my calls ?

having had a replacement car in the past for service etc. it is very common for the garage to arrange the transfer and has they could not tell me how long it would take to repair the car they said that they would change the insurance for me. with my permission which i gave

Why not call in person? No offence but whining here isn't going to get you anywhere.

I bought a pug from them about 3 years ago & I have to say their customer service is fairly good, gave me estimates how much it would cost, what time appox to collect, follow up call etc, they switched over insurance while I waited & gave me a seat as well (sounds like the same one), my only complaint would be their quite expensive but that could be me just whinging :p

Let me get this straight, you've left your new car in there practically since you got it? Call in there ffs

I got a car serviced by Appleyard a few years ago. One of the headlights was broken and I asked them to fix it. It was a 306. They let me drive the car out of there, after supposedly serviceing it, with no working headlights at all. Needless to say, I never went back.

So, to answer the OP's question, yes this is the usual sort of treatment you can expect from Appleyard.

I stand corrected; I've always had to ring my insurance company myself if I'm getting a loaner for the day.

what is the replacement car they gave you? sounds like poor customer service not to return your calls and keep you up to date.
Upside is they did give you a car to drive, they will have to fix yours,I would go and speak to the manager in person and ask him whats happening.

Hi related to the op so i know the story,

we have gotten the money back as we are still waiting to hear when the car will be sorted as it is out of warranty since feb,

car had to be sent to a offical dealer for seat and they have said it is the small end that is gone in engin so it the whole engine needs to get replaced. but the ok has to be given by seat to do the engin under warranty seen as it is only 2 years old and the issue it is but the office as we have been told is in spain so god only knows when it will happen

we got a seat leon as a replacemet car(service light was flashing and was told it was ok).

in reply to epm there has been a number of people that had gone over to find out what the situation was, just given the location of the garage the phone was the quick way to try get an answer.

Dealt with them for a few years when I had a 306 van. Looked after me really well on every occasion. Changed parts free of charge even though they were out of warranty - Driveshaft and hub if I recall correctly. Never any grief in changing my details over for insurance either.

Sounds like they've done the right thing for you in any case. Would suggest that it's a bit more appropriate to actually visit in person when you're dealing with a refund for the value of a two year old car etc. From what you write, Appleyard were probably waiting on an update from SEAT, and most likely had no more to tell you.

Anyway, always found them great to deal with, but your mileage may vary. :)

You can avoid plaque by brushing.
