Repair estimate

I know this is an old thread but has anyone ever used moto for you? http://www.moto-4u.com/find_us.php

I only ask, as I asked them for an estimate for a repair, once I mentioned "insurance" the cost became €100 for the estimate. Made me worry when a company feels the need to raise estimate costs for repair (make me think that people do not have faith in getting their bike repaired there).

Other than that anywhere else someone would recommend for a good estimate?

Split to new thread in the motorbikes forum. Please don't bump threads that are years old.

    hi

its standard practice to charge for estimates and then give the money off when you get the work done
this is because many people get official estimates then get thier mates to do the work

don't read to much into it
even when my regular shop gave me one they charged me

    this is my favorite mechanics

    Hi,
I've used Moto 4U in Rathfarnham, and found them to be quite reasonable for both small and bigger jobs. Guys there are sound and no BS!
