JobSeekers Backpayments

    Hi All
    My JSB finally came through after waiting for nearly 14 weeks, when I went for payment last week I only got payment for one week, I am owed 12 weeks backpay..presume I will get a cheque for this does any one know how long do you usually have to wait to get this

    I think it can take anything up to 4 weeks from the time the letter is issued.
    If you haven't seen anything by then it might be wrth taking a stroll down to the office when they are quiet and enquiring.

    I am currently waiting for my first payment STILL after 17 weeks! Called in yesterday and she told me it wont be more than 2 weeks more. Just wondering if you have recieved your full back pay?? i have a lot riding on mine!

    I finally recieved my backpayment after waiting 5 weeks for it to come. I had to go in to SW Office and was told that they generally issue the backpayment 2 weeks after you get your first claim....mine went to the wrong post office so thats why mine took so long..... 17 weeks is a long time to wait for claim I was waiting 14 weeks and only reason for that is my claim was lost in the office..so you should go in again and make sure they have it.. hope this helps
