As US official has blamed recent comments by Afghan President Hamid Karzai on alleged drug use.
Karzai is alleging the 'international community' initiated electoral fraud to keep him in power, prompting the accusations of drug-use from former UN chief in Kabul, American Peter Galbraith.

Its been commented many times by by independent journalists and political analists that Karzai is no saint.
He's deeply corrupt its said. However he is (or was) the USA's man on the ground and their lapdog for a while so they stuck with him.
I'm guessing there will be a change of heads before we finally see the Americans pull out of the country altogether.

If Obama can publicly announce that he's personally assassinating (by order) folk (see here), its a warning also to Karzai - come back to us and tow the American line or else!
