OK thanks and thanks. Very few people know about my Conn Half, and from your Boards nickname I can't work out who you are.
    Any hints?

    Hi

I'm interested in coming along, was there a good turn out today?

Can I be rude and ask how long it goes on for? Just deciding whether I should go to the Saturday or Sunday one!!

    thanks

    Pea,
On our 1st session we had 6 people which is double what i expected.
the sessions are based around the followinf format, Dymanic Strecting, Run, Static Stretching. Lasts about 1 hr. Everybody takes it at their own pace and there is no pressure to run constantly, if you need to walk a bit then feel free to do so.
As the group develops then we'd expect it to get varying levels of ability. The initial group of 6 I'd be sort of thinking that we'll be trying to get them home in 60mins on WMM race day, however again no pressure.
We'll be in Marlay again tmw 10am and Sunday 10am. You are welcome to attend tmw and then see how you feel for a run on Sunday.
    Regards,
    Declan.

    Jenne,
Sorry could not get on earlier as they were saying they were doing maintenance on the boards site.
In answer to your query about directions. Please see "Marlay Meet & Train" group on Facebook.ie (Look for the google map and it will point to the exact spot we're meeting. Change view to Satelite as it's mor easily understood).
We don't have changing facilities, I usually just leave a bag down in the field and it's OK.
Don't worry about being late. We'll be there until 7pm and I'll stay a bit later if you need me to.
    Hope you can make it.

    Hi Declan and all others

I went out tonight but I'm not familiar at all with the area so I got lost!!

First of all, I thought it started at 6.30 so I was a half an hour late to begin with. I realised this at 5 to 6 and then ran out the door without a bottle of water, towel or the correct directions on where to meet.

Whitechurch road was closed so the route I had planned out was no longer!! This made me panic and when I finally got there I realised that I was miles away from the playground car park.

I eventually got to the playground car park at 6.50pm!! And I said to myself that I would wait for you all to come back to the carpark at least to show you's that I came and get to know you all. However after asking two different men in two different groups if they were Declan I decided to go home and try again on Sat.

I'm really disappointed that I missed it because I come the whole way from Clondalkin and it was such a waste of time.

I would love to be there on Sat morning - but where do I go from the playground car park?

Sorry for needing so much bloody help, its just that was my first time in Marlay Park!!

    Thanks!

On last Sunday we had 12 Ladies out to train on our 1/2 mile circuit in Marlay Park. Each time we meet the weather is super. While the group is small it's great and the ladies seem to be enjoying both the company and Training.

    Jenn,
Try the 14 bus not sure where you need to get on but it passes with 1/2 mile form the entrance of the park. Have a look at the route on Dublin Bus and Google maps to see it it works better for you.
    Declan.

Enjoy the break with the family and remember to keep it slow, even slower if it's hot and drink plenty of water.
