Okay, ive decided to be brave and NOT go down the spray tan route for my wedding. Simple reason is im fair skinned so dont want to look like someone completely different on the day, also afraid of a disaster that would be beyond my control  So thinking gradual tanner. Have used dove on and off for years and its grand....but just wondering if there is a better product on the market? St Tropez, Loreal etc - just looking for a rec for something thats natural and (almost)idiot proof!!! ta -:D

St Tropez gradual tan is good and doesn't have a nasty smell. My advice would be practice loads. Try wearing white as well to amke sure it doesn't transfer as I once saw a bride with her dress badly marked with tan (professional spray tan).

those gradual tanners dont transfer do they
Im planning on lashing it on days up to the wedding but not on the actual day. thats the plan anyway

I don't know that's why you need to practice and see what happens when wearing white! I didn't think the profession spray tan transfer but it did on the bride I know! Not a good look.

Id recommend St Tropez Every Day Body in light if you want a gradual tan. It doesnt smell like biscuits like loads of them do, and I found its practically fool-proof when it comes to streaking. The colour is deep enough if you apply it for three or four days, but really natural looking-do not get the dark shade whatever you do as the light is more than enough.

Oh and it defo doesnt come off on white clothes :)

Why don't you try out the spray tan and see if you like it? I'm really pale so I definitely didn't want a big tango-esque disaster on the day! But I did a trial of the spray tan a while ago, it was a sun-fx one and they can do at a setting of 1/2/3 - I got a 1 obviously! It was very natural looking, well apart from a little bit dodgy on the hands... but that's because I have really dry skin, so I'm trying to fix that now before the wedding!

Anyway just saying it might be worth a try! And at least you can trust a professional not to miss bits :)

I found the Clinique one really good.

Everyone might not agree with this, but I think for tanning products the premium brands are definitely better.

I also tried the clarins gel self tanner a couple of years ago- found it good too.

Found Johnson & Johnson and L'oreal rubbish.

try the bodyshop one- i use the dark one & im very fair but have never had a disaster. It does turn out very light so you would probably need to build up over a few days.
