As you may have read on the Cheltenham bumper thread, I have been following Aracariua all year I was considering having a large bet on friday and get my summer holiday money early, The word is she'll win but after looking at it in more depth I don't know you may be able to help, Her times read 2miles 3m.58s,2m2f 4m.53s,2m 4m.22s and 2m2f 4m.30s, all these times were on desperate good in Ireland. But looking at the English: Mizzurka 2m 3m.57s,Dovey Lovey 2m1f 4m.04s, Baba O'Curragh 3m.46s,Lifestyle 3m.55s and Reinriver 3m54s, The English bumpers seem to be class6 is this differant to the PRo-Am flat in Ireland? and would the good ground take 10-15 seconds off the race time on Hvy? Lets me know your views, Is she worth taking a good punt on

Davy Russell on board. I'm going to back her anyway. She didn't get a great ride last time out.

I think Araucaria's second to Shot From The Hip looks a far better result now than it did at the time. Shot From the Hip would have had a very good shout in the Champion if Magnier didnt let him run all over the place. Also bumper horses in England are riden by pro's unlike here and with all due respect to David Kiely he is nowhere near the calibre of Davy Russell. Also Willie Mullins has the second favourite who won a fairly mediocre bumper at Roscommon so I think Araucaria has every right to be favourite.

Its your money I am not going to tell you to invest it. I wil be having a cut though. 3/1 with PP, 11/4 every place else.

To answer your question, times mean sweet fa in bumpers don't worry about it.
Best form as said above is second to Shot from the Hip

Disaster. She sweated badly before the off, gave an ok account but I wouldn't lose faith yet. She is too good a mare to go without winning for too long.

The ground looks quick enough too for a mare who's form is on soft

Mare is limited i'm afraid. Flattered in awful ground. Hard to pick out any sure fire horses to follow from this years Irish bumper crop. Close to being the worst I can remember.

just speaken to connections. they have never heard a bad word come out of kielys mouth till after the race. Russell came into the parade ring as the bell was ringing did not see the horse playing up in there as he was late out why?? did not take any instructions from kiely as there was no time. Only thing he said to him was keep her away from the rest and out of trouble. He rode her down to the start near to the one that was playing up in the parade ring and ended up getting a kick in the shoulder at the start, after vet's inspection she run's he then ride's her as she has never been ridden before on no-one's say so on the inside with the whole field in front of her? take it as you wish but connections feel that Russell was very un-professional in his approach yesterday from the word go and they would never consider him on another horse again and Kiely echo's those views

Do you know people in the stable or owners?

Is it just me or does anyone else think Russell gave the jolly a horrible ride? I understand that any horse can get into trouble... that is not my vent. My problem with the ride is that when you back a horse in this type of race, part of my reason for backing it is that the mare has a top pro on its back. The time of this race was very slow compared to the bumper the following day. Top Jock's are supposed to have a 'racing clock' knowing if a pace is too fast or too slow. Giving a horse 15L to make up with 3 furlongs to go in a slow run race is very poor judgement. I also believe that young Mullins was guilty of the same offence (he did not get in to as much trouble as Russell before the home turn), but you are comparing a very young ama... with a supposed top professional..... One of the worst rides of the season in my book.

Unlucky owners to get 2 bad rides on the mares last 2 runs.
