    Hiya,
Just wondering has anyone ever paid VAT on items orderered on line then ended up returning the goods. How do you get the VAT back on the items you end up not keeping?!
I got a pair of Hudson jeans online from the states the other day. I was robbed. Cheaper to buy here! They cost 125eur plus then 28eur vat& 15eur 'UPS' charges. On top of this I already paid $40 for UPS delivery which I know I won't get back and having read other threads the UPS 'admin' charges (which were nearly as much as the VAT!) I prob won't get back, but how do I get the 21% VAT back when I'm not keeping the jeans. Revenue told me to ring UPS, UPS told me to ring Customs & Excise. Customs and Exise do not answer their phone and have no webiste for info or email................
