    HI

I have a toshiba laptop which up till now gave no problem.. when i use say you tube or skype after about a minute or so the computer just dies and immediately turns off. When i just surf its fine.

I have scanned with avg and no problem, i have cleaned for spyware and the like and its all clear and it still happens.

Has anyone any thought or have they come up against something like this before

    Your help is appreciated

That sounds like a thermal safety on the CPU kicking in to me. Make sure the air exhaust isn't blocked or loaded up with dust (I'd get the hoover out myself). You can get tools to measure the CPU temperature and I'd initially suggest that you do that.

I'm gonna move this to the laptop forums, they'll know better.
