Boards.ie is free to use. You can, if you so choose, become a subscriber and gain some additional benefits such as a Custom Avatar, the ability to change your username etc. For more information, see the thread on becoming a subscriber.
Registered User:
Every User that register begins as a registered user, and 99% of boards users will be registered Users their entire time at Boards.ie. You will have 1 star at first, and at most 4. These are related to your post count.
Subscriber:
A Subscriber is a Registered User that has donated to Boards.ie to help maintain and operate the website. For more information on subscribing and benefits thereof, please see the thread on becoming a subscriber
You can subscribe via PayPal for monthly, seasonal, or annual subscriptions. When your subscription expires, you will return to being a registered user, and will no longer have any of your subscription benefits.
