Iphone memory

    Hey guys, just wondering if you can help me. My dad is after buying a 16GB Iphone and I was putting some of his music onto it for him today. He had about 13 GB empty when I started and I put about 390 songs on it, and now it is saying that the memory is almost full.

    Is this correct? Because I have a 8 GB Itouch and ive 1000 songs?

    I checked his applications and stuff but he doesnt have anything really that is taking up alot of space.. and as I said when i started he had 13 GB empty.

    Any ideas as to what might be going on here!!

    Sorry if this sounds obvious...but did you check that itunes hasn't imported and video files into it's library that it might be syncing? Or podcasts?

    What does itunes say about the percentage used on the iphone (when you click on the iphone in the taskbar it gives a visual of the space used)?

    Ya I did check to see and it hasnt imported anything.

    Do you mean the breakdown of items at the bottom?? If so

    It is 12 GB Music 213 MB Applications and 2.5 MB Other 1.2 Photos. I think from memory because my dad has taken the phone away now!

    Like 390 songs is not 10 GB!! There just normal songs aswell they are not like 8 or 9 minutes long!
