Unable to recieve TV3,RTE etc on Sky

    Hi, ive never been able to recieve the irish channels on sky. when i go on the channels it just says" this programme is unavailable". ive been on to sky about it before but they arent 100% sure whats causing it. The only reason im bothered about it now is that the signal i receive from the normal aerial is brutal for Tv3 which aint great when you want to watch the football! anyone got any ideas what is causing this? thanks for any help

    If sky have sent signals to clear the Irish channels and you still are not receiving them then you should have been sent a replacement card.
    How long have you got the sky box and where did you get it from SKY or a
    sales rep Door2Door/skykiosk it might be a problem with the card reader. If you have sky less than a year you are entitled to a replacement box free of charge under warranty.

    I got the Sky box from sky whenever i ordered it but i have it atleast 7 years so its well out of warranty. Is getting a new box my only option?

    Ring up to cancel, say you cant get the Irish channels is the reason. They may offer to send a free engineer. If not, proceed with cancellation and sign up as a new customer. You will get a Sky+ HD box for €30 even without subscribing to the HD channels.
