Just a couple of things to add also....

    1. Calender
There may be further races added. Frank Carroll is hoping to put the final one on the website within the next six weeks swimleinster site

    2. Safety Plan/Debrief
Each club must submit a safety plan and debrief after the race. Failure to do this will invalidate the insurance arranged by Swim Ireland

    3. Minimum course length
Race course length must be a minimum 1100 to 1200

    4. Swim Ireland registration
N.B. Each club will have to submit details of all licenced Swim Ireland swimmers to Frank Carroll.

    5. Open Sea Committee -
The following people have volunteered to serve on the 2010 committee. David Farrell, Eoin Gaffney, John Redmond, Anne McAdam, Noel Dunne and Frank Carroll. If you are interested in volunteering let them know.

    6. Handicapper
Two people have volunteered to act as handicapper, Martin Monks and Matt Kenny.

    7. Swim Suits
You can continue to wear swim suits if you feel the need but the material must be textile and not any material that provides bouyancy.

I never understood how or why they have a range for the minimum. surely the min is 1100, wtf is the 1200 for?

Completed a 1.5km sea swim in Bondi recently. Was my first swim in a year and was a lot tougher than I expected. It's amazing the difference the swell makes.
