Trundle Wheel

    With the track season beckoning I was wondering if anyone knew where I might pick up a reasonably priced trundle wheel for measuring out courses for speed work or what I might be expected to pay. I found some on the uk ebay but the postage is a little on the steep side. Thanks.

    Are you near to a track sj? Even if you won't be using it for your speedwork you can use it to estimate distance by counting strides over 100,200, 400 for example.

    If you have a GPS it'll be fairly accurate over a short distance, in a straight line.

    Personally I'd do without a wheel.

    Hi Roy, yeah I'll be using the track for one session a week but would be great to have trundle wheel for other speed sessions (if travelling etc) or ones I have to do on my own. I was pacing out courses (400, 600, 800 etc) but noticed recently that the courses I was pacing were shorter than the tracks we were using on club sessions (I'm tall so should have been longer if anything) so would be interested in getting a trundle wheel for consistency if anyone has found somewhere to get one for a reasonable price. I have a garmin and while I love it don't feel its great for measuring short distances.
