Error 1015 when trying to downgrade?

I also read that believe it or not this message is a good thing because it means you have downgraded your phone but when I plug it back in it say's you must do a restore in order for the phone to work on itunes.

This is doing my head in would be grateful for any help.

The iphone is 3G I know the 3GS can't be downgraded.

I seen QuickPwn fixes this but I download it I get an error and it won't open just keeps saying file stopped working before it even opens up.

Anyone else have this?
