    gentlemen,

doing a few repairs to a raleigh genesis at the moment, albeit it a male 15speed version rather of the ebay link rather than a 10 speed, bike is about 10yrs old

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Raleigh-Genesis-Bike-collect-from-Derby_W0QQitemZ140396436724QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Bikes_GL?hash=item20b0479cf4

bike has been a loyal servant and has covered a lot of mileage, gears brakes etc all perfect due to it being kept inside, miles better than those €100 bikes from LIDL

need a new rear sproket new chain and new frount sproket, everything begins slipping as soon as you try to pick up any bit of speed

BTW what is the technical name for these rear sproket appears to be called rear cassette, can't figure out the name for the frount sproket was looking on ebay and didn't find anything

rear sproket has 14 teeth on cog 1 and 28 on cog 5
frount sproket has 28 teeth on cog 1 and 49 on cog 5, 12mm square hole in sproket

anyone know a good source for these on line?

to remove the rear sproket is it a case of hitting it with chisel and hammer or is there a more scientific method, if I bring the wheel to cycle shop will they have a special tool to remove it? can't see anything to catch with a spanner or socket

    regards,
    aidan
