    Hi all,

Just wondering if there is any rough answer to this......

running 5 miles is the same as cycling X miles ??

I need to do some cross training and want some idea of how much i will need to do in relation to my running.......sorry if its silly:o

Ratio if 1:3 or 1:4 usually, I think.

    I thought 1:4 myself but wasn't sure.

Why not hit the pool for some aqua running wont be as time consuming as the the additional cycling and works same muscles as running without the weight bearing element?

Swimming where i live doesn't suit as the pool opening times are rubbish and i can fit my cycling/running around work etc. I'll have that done before the pool opens.

It will be on my radar eventually but at the moment the times ( oh and prices ) of the pool just don't work for me.

But it is a good idea for anyone who wants cross but doens't enjoy cycling.
