is this a problem that will right itself in time?

I mean , if I leave the tap running is it bound to free itself on its own?

I am tring to rig up a connection from the main supply to the hot water tap or pipe but it is proving fiddly (right size hose etc etc) and it would be nice to have the reassurance that it is only a matter of time before the air in the pipes (if that is what it is -there could be gunge as well) gets disolved into the water and expelled through the tap....
