Ireland has a good image as a touristic destination in Germany.

I work here in Ireland since 2005 for a larger German company - was not really attracted to Ireland - more fleeing Germany due to the high tax rate there.


And yes Ireland is a rolemodel how to wreck a country.

yeah thats true but theres a shed load more of irish diaspora in uk/oz/ usa etc etc.. would be higher proportionate that the german lads/frauleins i'd guess though

I can understand big UK/USA interest of course as obviouly large irish ex-pat population there : but cos thats number from Germany was just wondering- lived in munich for a while and didnt find germans had much of interest in all things Eire as opposed to americans etc

Interestingly programmes about WWII is never on German TV. Maybe history isn't a favourite subject among Germans. Here every time you flick through the channels theres a few different programes on about it.
