Does anybody know of a lovely restaurant for a wedding lunch for around 20 people around Dublin City Center for a Saturday? Good food is really important, more than the location.
    Thanks!!

Thanks for all the replies. Keep them coming.

What about the Schoolhouse? It seems to be a nice place but we have never eaten there.

Michelin-starred L'Ecrivain on Lwr. Baggot St.sound's like it would fit your bill nicely.

They have a cosy private dining area that would likely fit that number of people for lunch - with the bonus that you're kept from the madding crowd if you want. Alternatively you can be seated in the restaurant proper - there's various other parts of it that would suit a party of that size. The food and service are top drawer - which would give that extra boost to your special day - and the prices aren't as way out as they used to be.

They've a baby grand piano close by the private dining area and access to a really good pianist for hire (if he's not already playing on the day). Might be a nice touch..

Worth a visit in any case..

I've heard great things about Shannahans, have family that go there regularily, another relation worked there, they love it.

Also Fallon & Byrne have a function room which regularily is used for weddings, great reputation. I also covered a wedding at Dobbins once which has a small room upstairs for weddings.

Yep Shanahans really is amazing. I really would recommend it! The service there is just unbelievable and the food is simply delicious! It's really a place for a special occasion and since it's your wedding day, you can't get any more special than that!
