NTL channels stuttering/pixellating

Been having a lot of problems with every channel on NTL stuttering/pixellating every few seconds, often accompanied by a screeching sound. NTL phone support weren't much use, and I'd already tryed rebooting the box, taking out card etc.
They sent an engineer out but the issue wasn't occurring at the time he checked it - he came out in the middle of the day, but we only watch TV at night, so not sure if the problem was occurring 24/7 before then. Couldn't find a problem with the signal, did some stuff from his van that reset the box and got us to move our modem away from the box incase it was interfering with the TV tuner.
TV was ok for a couple of days and now the issue is back.

Anyone any ideas what it could be? NTL aren't much help.

Had the same problem yesterday. Seems to have fixed itself today.

Have the same problem with my NTL most of the time. I count 64 channels are currently broken, I'd say most of the time a lot of the channels dont work or are unwatchable.

Sorry, Can't help, :( but I can tell you that I'm having a similar problem. Mine is constantly stuttering and for brief moments showing the "loss of signal" screen. Very annoying when you want to watch a movie!

oh no! I got UPC mmds installed in my house in the castlebar area yesterday.
I had the same stuttering and pixellation on almost all channels. I eventually had to turn the TV off at about 10:30pm because it was unwatchable.
This is not good news! I guess I am destined to hours of waiting on the 1908 support number followed by them arranging for an engineer to call out any time between 9am and 5pm on any given day, for which I will probably have to take a day off work to be there to let him into the house!
Why oh why did I sign up!

Anyone have any ideas as to the cause of the problem? My MMDS aerial, wiring and TV are all 1 day old.
