    Hi all,

Just a quick one someone may have come across...My left crank starts to make a "creaking" noise when i am climbin and its under pressure...I`ve bought it too local bike shop and they have stripped it and checked/lubed and re-assembled. Then after a spin or two it starts again....its and FSA (175mm) carbon crank, roughly 4 years old...any ideas??:(

All bike noises sound like they come from the BB.

Check everything, including freehub bearings and headset. If you have spare wheels, swap those on to see if it makes any difference.

Could it be the shoe cleat?

could even be the pedal, try changing for another to eliminate the possibility

My was the same. It seems like it is gon though now. I believe it was the cleats. The nut which connects the cleats to the bike appeared slightly rusted which I oiled up and seemed to help for now anyway

My Campag Centaur used to cranks used to creak, apparently it always happens on Centaur, but when i switched to Centaur carbon cranks the creaking stopped. Just as well i didn't change the bottom bracket cos that's what i thought was creaking !
