    Heya doin just wondering if i could get a bit of clarification.First time signing on and i recieved my letter yesterday confirming my first collection date and amount ect.It says to collect in the post office today but went yesterday and was told to come down tomorrow..However i dont have my social services/welfare card?Will i be able to just bring the letter and ID to get it?

    Depends on the post office but technically no, you can go to your local office and get a temporary card, and they will order you a proper card, once you have ID with you.

    But I was never told that id need you..Ive worked since i was 13 and at 19 ive never needed a social welfare card or recieved any state benefits.What i cant understand is to how i made a claim without them mentioning anything about such card.Surely if i need it to collect my money i need it to sign on to get the dole no?
