morning after pill necessary?

    Hi,
    So myself and my boyfriend had sex last night and used an extra safe condom with which we were very careful with. I checked after and the condom didn't break.
    I have been on the pill for years but due to bad side effects came off it a month ago and am yet to have a period. I plan to go back on a different type of pill.
    As we normally used both pill and condom, Im a bit worried that we only used a condom and am thinking of getting the morning after pill. I am in no way ready for a baby.
    Is this necessary or am I just freaking myself out?
    Appreciate any advice!

    The morning after pill is a serious drug, and should not be taken lightly. There is no reason at all that you would need it. The condom didn't break, come off, nothing. It is unnecessary.

    You are worrying unnecessarily OP, no need for the MAP. If this is a cause of anxiety then maybe go back to your GP/Well Woman clinic and look at an additional form of contraception to use in conjunction with what you're currently using.
