I have some trees that need to be removed from my garden. Getting too big.
At what point do you need a tree felling order.?
I have heard of people that were prosecuted for removing old oak trees.

if a tree is within a certain distance of a permanent dwelling, there is no issue with removing them.

Are the trees oaks? It's a real shame to cut a slow maturing tree like that. Would you consider getting the crown thinned by an arboriculturist? It would allow more light into your garden.
