    Hi,

Would anyone have any recommendations for running/tri apps for the iphone? Have a Garmin Forerunner 405 and would like if I could see the data on the phone. I know this could be done through Garmin Connect but is there a specific app that you can get instead? thanks in advance, MRR

I searched for some and the only one that I liked was the tri check list one, it can also be used for running/swimming/cycling checklists too. It was a free app, i'm sure there are more in the pipeline.

I keep an online running log on LogYourRun.com. There is an iphone app to view this data. The app can also track your data as you run.

I thought the browser on that MacPhone was supposed to be pretty good, why does everything seem to need a specific app to be able to use it rather than just accessing the regular webpages?

You should have a look at http://runkeeper.com - they have a very slick iPhone app (free and paid) plus you can review previous runs online and share them with your friends.

mapmyrun have apps as well for running and cycling. Haven't tried them as I don't have the GPS iPhone but they look good.

I started using imapmyrun last week.

Its great. It allows me log other events like yoga, road cycle etc. I just noticed last night that it records the elavation of my runs/ cycles too!
