It looks like Sam Worthington's meteoric rise to stardom is set to rise even further as he has confirmed that he will be playing Dan Dare in the upcoming film adaptation of the 50's comic (yes........another comic adaptation!)

I have to say I'm not really feeling this, mainly due to how camp and old school the comic was and also because The Mekon will quite possibly look absolutely ridiculous on the big screen.
