I'm lost trying to do this.

I have a video camera. I recorded some stuff and put it onto my Mac in iMovies.

I'm trying to get this onto a cd now. There is no option to burn the file. The file also doesn't appear anywhere in my documents. It seems to just exist in iMovies.

Does anyone have the solution or have experience with this? I've had a mac for a while but never really used iMovies. I'm sure that the answer is obvious but that's what it seems to be like with the mac, everything is obvious when you're shown the way otherwise I'm completely lost.

You are not getting this option then. i.e burn project to disc

    Hi Muggyog,

No, I'm not getting an option to burn to disc or make a magic iMovie. I do have an option to export to iDVD and in there I can burn to disc.

Surely there must be a more simplistic way! Anyway, thanks for the help. I have a way around the issue, even if it is a pain in the ass to do.

    Thanks,

    SBF

Have you saved as an iMovie project? Check in spotlight for it.

Open your saved project and go to file --> Export. You can create a quicktime movie and burn with built in burner or the Burn application. Also in this pane you can export to iDvd and burn from there.

BTW when you go into file and export and then choose Quicktime, if you then go into the compress movie for pulldown menu and choose expert settings, you have a huge range of options ( have to press share button for choice ).

    What! You're not enjoying this?
