    I'm no economist just a long suffering citizen of this state - listening and reading about the banking mess and cover up's , the 2 banks that wrecked this economy were Anglo and the Irish Nationwide - and yet the one thing that makes me fume is Michael Fingleton decision that he deserved a bonus of one million big ones for driving and gambling his bank into the ground, and expecting us to pick up the mess - oh and as a publicity stunt he said h'd return the payment - the nationwide still awaits - arrogance on a scale even i do not understand ...

    Hmm. I have one of those Euro coin collections. Last night I threw it in the recycling bin, minus the coins of course. I rescued €45 from it and rescued myself in the process. That's how skint I am.
