Is it common to have many "out" gay teachers? Just curious is all. By out I obviously don't mean to the students etc, rather to colleagues. Would it be kind of frowned upon in Catholic schools?

I have never even heard of an out teacher. In terms of catholic schools, you have no protection if they want to get rid of you for not complying with their ethos.

I know plenty, never a problem, we are all adults. In the same way that the church doesn't interfere where teachers are co-habiting, it's not their issue if someone is gay.
