Bringing bottles of alcohol on aircraft

Didn't know what forum to post this is, but anyway....

I work in London and I got a Christmas box at work containing a bottle of wine, a bottle of vodka and a bottle of port. I never got around to opening it but I'm coming home to Dublin for easter and I want to bring the alcohol with me. What's the story with bringing liquid on the airplane. Can I even do that?

(Flying with Aer Lingus, if it makes any difference)

    Stuff 'em down your socks.

You'd have to put it in your hold luggage. You can't take liquids greater than 100ml volume on in your hand luggage unless you purchased it in the duty free.

If you have checked baggage I think you can safely put it in there, but you can't have it as hand luggage.

No , it will have to go in your luggage or in yourself , which may mean not getting on the plane at all

Right to hell with it, it'll have to stay in London. I'll invite a few people over for a party..

You can bring that quantity of alcohol on board but it has to be in your stomach.

officially you cant (and probably wont be able to) bring any in your hand luggage .. but having said that I brought a bottle of rum from Germany a few months ago and I got right past the scanners and they didnt say a word:confused:

Last I heard the latest cool thing was to get a boob job and place the items within your boobs. Or get one of these.

As already said anything over 100ml will have to go in your hold luggage.I got caught coming back from france with a nagan left in a trouser pocket in my hand luggage, meanwhile my friend got through with a hunting knife...how ironic.

I miss the days when you could take it on. So great to spend 12 hours passed out on liquor.

Now I just take Melatonin like a normal person.

Get loads of 100ml bottles and fill them up with the wine.

Why? You can get it on the plane, just keep it in your luggage that goes in the hold. You simply can't bring it into the cabin unless it was bought in Duty Free.

I know, but I already have a **** load of stuff in my suitcase because I'm actually moving back home in a couple of weeks. I'm way over the 20kg as it is.

If you've had all that booze since Christmas, and haven't touched it, I can only surmise that your Communion money makes up most of the baggage weight.

The baggage handlers will drink it if you leave it in the hold :(

Well, then book another bag, to take you below the 20KG, because they will charge you alot anyway for each KG!

Then you can also bring more clothes and the drink!
