Rotating Running Shoes

Personally I'm a fan of rotation, excluding spikes and racers I've been in 7 different pairs this year so far.

Its quite interesting alright. I usually rotate two pairs, I mark them O and E (For odd and even dates) because its easy to get them mixed up if they are just A & B (Did I use A or B yesterday?) But whether its the 2nd or 15th of the month, I know that its been two days since I last wore them. This only fails for months with 31 days, but nothing is perfect.

Didnt realise about the shelf life of the shoes. I've been clocking up a lot of miles for the Connemara Ultra lately and to save splashing out on more runners, I was digging out old ones that still had a few miles on them, according to my gear tracker on MapMyRun. After Connemara, I'll be shelving all of them anyway, except for the two most recent pairs. Think I'd get any money for them on Ebay?

What about the removable inserts in runners. The Asics 2140 and 2150 have them, but I dont know if they can be washed to freshen them up?

I find it painfull when i wear right shoe on left foot and left shoe on right foot, so i don't rotate
