Unlocking Iphone with Itunes help.

I got message from O2 today saying Apple has confirmed my Iphone is set to unlock. They say to complete the unlock connect the phone to Itunes. I have done this twice but nothing happens. My phone is jailbroken and on Firmware 3.1.2.
I dont want to click restore or anything like that in case it messes up my jailbreak.
Any help on this will be great
