    Hi,

am looking for recommendations where to buy meat/chicken, I live in Dublin 13 and have family in Dublin 5 but I dont mind travelling to Howth, Malahide, Clontarf for some decent product.

I usually buy in the butchers in Donaghmede or in the Fresh at Northern Cross but over the past 6 months both have gone down hill rapidly imo!

The meat I am talking about is sirloin steak, kidneys, liver, and maybe even the odd heart.

    So any recommendations?

Have you tried Smyths in Portmarnock on the Coast Road?

I assume you're referring to Kerrigans in Donaghmede that you've tried already. I've not had any problems recently. They have a factory shop in the Baldoyle Industrial Estate -= maybe drop in and mention it to them.

Thanks for the reply, will try Smyths. I am assuming it is run by the same crowd running the Smyths in Raheny.

    Yes the same crowd alright.

You could also try the factory shops up in the Coolock Industrial Estate - there are a few if you're prepared to buy in bulk. Spring Valley specialises in pork and cured products but does sell all types of meat.

Will drop into the Spring Valley place, thanks again!

I find Kerrigan's Factory Shop in Baldoyle Industrial Estate very good, they always have deals on and their fillet steaks/chicken breasts are very good.
