    Hi guys,
I am wondering if you could help me (again :D )
I'm looking for people/places who buy cars for cash in ireland. There's an ad on the english channels on tv for 'We Buy Any Car' and am interested in this.
    Any help would be great!

EP Mooney on the long mile road have a big "Cash for cars" banner up. I don't know anything about what they're offering besides that though.

You're just going to take a massive hit on the car selling it this way. Unless you're in desperate need of the cash i would steer clear and at least try and sell privately.

been discussed here a few times. I think Merlin offer a similar service, but they buy them below auction prices.
i.e unless you're hugely stuck and need money tomorrow it's a waste of time.

You can be sure the prices offered by these people will be below auction & not even worth considering.
To answer your question, Merlin auctions have a car for cash scheme & there are often ads on the irish independent motoring ads from people offering to buy cars for cash.
IMO, If you really are stuck, stick it into auction with a reserve that you are happy with & see what happens

Rathdown motors are also doing a cash for car deals at the moment..

If you want to off load it, sell it privately or at auction .. you will take a massive hit selling it to any of these places.

Tried selling it privately, it's not worth much, no NCT, and I'm not willing to put the money into it TBH, its not been NCTed for 2 years. I just want rid. The car has been knocking around the family for a few years and it got me out of a hole while my car was been fixed.
I'll look up Merlin and EP Mooney so. Thanks guys:D

This interests me aswel. My current car (2000 renault megane coupe) needs engine repairs totaling 1300 euro and will also need new tyres and a new clutch soon enough. So I am not going to spend that much on the car and was looking to get rid of it for some cash to put towards my next car.

So, do you know if the car has to be in perfect mechanical order?
The megane is drivable, just its lacking acceleration and chugs very badly when stopped in traffic:pac:

    Yep :D
That's not the car I want to get rid of though! It's the car I was driving around while she was being fixed. My MG ZR needed a new engine and other bits, and that's done now. €850 it cost me

Try Belgard auctions 4048500 beside belgard pub& coco's they'll either buy it or sell it for no sale no fee.. worked well for a mate of mine. His was gone within the week cash paid. I think they'll collect it for you too

Why not put it up on www.adverts.ie and see what kind of offers you get for it.

Well if the car isnt worth a lot, stick it in the auction, low reserve & be finished with it.
Same goes for the megane coupe, once it drives through the place, it might do ok

they buy any car..if they dont want it, they offer you half nothing for it....you have to deliver it to their depot too.It justs doenst make sense to sell them your car, they are making money out of people who dont know what they are doing...mugs in other words....the same people who send their gold to cash4gold et al no doubt.

I ended up selling it to a guy my uncle knows! I was chatting about it and he said he would take it off my hands! (No doubt to NCT it and possibly sell on).
