Part-Time Working Entitlements On JSA

    Hi,

Think I might be able to get 2/3 days a week work during summer. It'd be great to get out and about instead of sitting around. Could someone explain to me the ins and outs of part time work and it's consequences while on JSA?

And just one other question. I got JSA recently and what is the story now about meeting with SW? Will I get called for an interview every year that I'm on it?

    Thanks a mil in advance!

    Hi
they give you the yellow slips to fill in every week rather than signing on once a month.

When you tell them you start a job they stop your JSA and give you a form for your employer to fill in showing your earnings over 13 weeks. After 13 weeks they will means test you on the income from your pt earnings and will issue cheques weekly to top up your wages. The means test can take some time......I did a temp pt contract from Sep - Feb and am still waiting for a means test due to the back log. The CWO has been topping up my income, but should still be owed back pay from SW.

They are kinda more interested in wage amount rather than number of days worked.
