"i don't take orders from anybody but the president of the united states"

i'm going to use that for my outlook on life now. God help any traffic warden or tv license inspector now!!

at last we have the usual going behind the president's back.
a lot of people looking like they are having second thoughts though.

Loved how jack took out about six guys in the smoke.
    He was in Headshot-Heaven :DJackBauer01.jpg

Another good episode with some great 'Typical Jack' moments.

Tarin is going to bottle it in some way. He'll contact Jack about the location of the rods or something along those lines.

Good to see one of the lads from The Unit popping up as part of the crack team sent to get Hassan. I loved that show :o

Enjoyable enough episode but that "Americans are strong and amazing" speech by the president was vomit inducing.

Yep and I think that was hot on the heels of Kanin worrying about America losing its moral authority.

Anyway that black-op leader was a wuss. Jack didn't have to threaten to stab him in the eye with a pen or threaten to kill his whole family or nothing. He just gave up all the details of who his boss was and everything.
Now that Jack is bringing him in as proof of this dastardly plot I predict black-op goon's imminent demise (most likely by sniper) within the first 5 minutes of the next episode. :D

He also knew that a bomb was going to be going off in 20 minutes if the president of 'Iran' wasn't delivered. He may have thought Jack would have agreed to hand over the president if he knew that.

Hassan is going to demand to be handed to the terrorists to save the innocent american people and Jack is having none of it and threatens to kill Kyla to shut him up. :D

And Cloe is going to find Dana out. Or Dana is bottling it as she doesn't want to get killed ...

Still why can't terrorist just bloody detonate the bomb.. that's what they do in real life... 15min timer ffs.

    solid enough episode tho.

Dana is the worst mole ever...having the terrorists on hands free, and taking their calls in plain sight, then moving away from the main area.

She seems quite calm aiding terrorists, but was visibly stressed when Kevin was ringing her in the 1st few episodes. Bit stupid.

    Good episode though overall.

The scenes with the ambush and smoke grenades were just brilliant. 24 at its best.

Ethan should have thrown a right hook.

Also have you ever seen a more suspiscious looking person anywhere? I cannot wait until someone puts a bullet in her head.

This is why we love 24.
I enjoyed this episode. We had some good duelling of the minds as well as out in the field. Renee is scarily good.
As for Dana. Isn't there CCTV in the building. Couldn't she be seen killing the parole officer? Or was cctv disabled by the emp? Also, aren't all personal phonecalls monitored? And yes, how did she get a job in CTU having been in jail and changing her identity?

I am sorry there will be no more series of 24 but can see that it is a good time to finish.
I just hope that the planned movie version isn't as truly awful as the "Redemption" catastrophe was.

She's also a cold blooded killer, taking out the parole officer with no hesitation and hiding his body. Yet she couldn't deal with Kevin and the other muppet only hours earlier. That's just weak.

Classic 24 stuff though. "Jack Bower will be no match for our crack squad of elite super-soldier guys", which of course means Jack will kill them all single handed.

Seems that the nuke threat will be resolved quite soon, so I wonder where it will go next? Dana or Taric (or both) will bottle it anyway. I think Chloe is almost on to Dana anyway, as she noticed Dana had accessed the police search information. The long awaited bitch-fight will commence soon.

Hey, I though I recognised him!
(Link contains mild 24 spoiler: number of episodes in which he appears) Michael Irby

So, it looks like Jack took out The Unit :D

Jacks Kills up to Season 7 Sweet.

This is the first season I've watched in a while and Jacks definitely moved into Horatio Caine territory, I've had to explain to people that Jacks still alive because he's bullet/boom proff, invisible when he needs to be and can make a highly inaccurate handgun operate better than an assault riffle even though it's impossible.

It's all great fun but I can see myself becoming board with it again fairly quickly.

    aHHHHHH HAHAHAHHA BRILLIANT.

Dana a mole, digging allot of holes for the plotline but still.

Overall I think that 24 is going out on a high. (so far).

I'm starting to notice that the more 24 clichés they throw into an episode, the more I enjoy it :). When I saw the black ops leader, I thought of "The Unit" too and found it hilarious that Jack would take them all out (though if President Palmer was with them, maybe he would hesitate? :D).

Dana is easily the most ridiculous mole ever for all the reasons mentioned already. A bullet in the head is too good for her though, hopefully she gets a knife in the eye or something...

So the whole plot is still to kill Hassan? Seems Samir and co. have gone to way too much trouble just for that... Why bother trying to kidnap him now if they want to just kill him? A sniper could easily have waited for him to come out of the tunnel and taken him out.

It seems Dana is working with Samir but not for him - so I would expect the main "twist" to come from finding out who Dana is really taking orders from and why... (
    Logan?
    Audrey? Tony? The Easter Bunny?)

Dana may as well write "I'M A MOLE" on her forehead. Have you ever seen such a suspicious looking woman - talking with terrorists in the middle of CTU, moving her eyes back and forth every 2 seconds and basically staring at everyone. In the next edition of the dictionary they might as well put a picture of her in it beside the definition of the word suspicious.

I had to laugh at how Jack made it from the shootout scene, through new york, through the UN security and straight into president Hassan in about 3 minutes.

I still love 24 though, and will mourn its cancellation :(

Short of melodramatically wrapping a cloak around herself and cackling like Dick Dastardly, she could hardly make it more obvious. :D

If the Ventilations systems can detect an air born virus then it can detect a dead body

I thought Chloe was on to Dana and was gonna send her a fake list so she'd send the bold boyos to a blockade, and tell Jack

Also, thought Ethan would box Rob and do a legger

Dana's a spanner. I think Hastings is on to her, from a look he gave her

Obviously they're all gna be kidknapped before Jack can call the pres

He still had some signal underground though, so he should call the pres ASAP!!

Most intriguing part of the episode is the hint that Dan is working for someone else. I hope it's Tony!!!! Although if it is, then shame on Tony for hiring such a dope! Could be Hastings as well as any other person to just start leaving in the middle of a nuke crisis would probably be jailed, don't mind fired.

I love it!!! "Tarin, you stay with bomb to make sure no one interferes with it. hajahsjajsh"

Even the most radical terrorist would think "Ah i'm sure the van will be okay, i'll just stand over here in New Jersey!!"

Doubt it will be Tony, his story is over, he's a good guy!

A good guy...gone crazy! Tony went over the Moral Event Horizon when he started killing the good guys, even with his Freudian excuse.

Good episode overall, loved the shootout in the smoke. Dana talking to Samir in the middle of the office was rather stupid though, how come no one noticed her shifty eyes?!
