Big congrats to Darragh O'Connall (NG), Wayne Fagan (Revolution) and Tom King (SBG) who took Silver, Silver and gold (respectively) in their divisions. Very impressive.

If I missed anyone else from Ireland/trains in Ireland please shout up, great to see names in the medals.

Just so any Waterford Jiu Jitsu or MMA lads know, my Brother "Chris Bowe" got double gold 2 years in a row, he won his division (Heavy Weight) and the absolute for blue belts again. He had to fight Matt Stevens, who won the Super Heavy Weight in the final of the absolute. He had him in an inverted triangle but he wouldn't tap, he put his hand on the mat to try escape so Chris grabbed it and finished him with a Kimura.

The Victory was all the sweeter seeing as Stevens had been running his mouth about me brother leading up to the open, looks like he should stick with the Rugby :P

what was he running his mouth about?, cause it looks to me from that fight that both are good friends.

its some result for chris, that matt stevens is a beast, there must be lots that just plain **** themselves when they see they have to fight him.

Chris wouldn't go into detail, but there were posters involved were apparently he was sayin he was in Chris's head, all psychological crap that done him no good in the end.

He won the blue belt absolute last year? You'd think they'd give him a purple.

Well ya never know, but I doubt it. Braulio only gave him his Blue belt 3 weeks before the open last year, and only because he knew he'd wipe the floor with the competition if he had to fight at white belt, apparently he didnt think he was good enough with the Gi .
